A collection of concert photography that spans 7 years now. It all started in 2002 with the Tony Levin Band. Then I was armed with a Sony Mavica, you know, the digital camera that shot onto floppy discs. High tech stuff back then! After the show I was able to make copies of the floppy discs right in the camera and give him the discs to take. In 2005 I upgraded to a 4MP Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ20 which had a nice 10x optical zoom Leica lens and more manual control. This year I started using a 12.2 MP Canon Rebel XSi with image stabilizing lenses. What a joy! While not all of these photos are of stellar quality I chose some of them more for the the manner in which they documented a given show, i.e., remember when Hal Waters (Roger Waters' son) toured with Ozric Tentacles? This effort to photograph Prog Rock bands and progressive artists has been a true labor of love. Hopefully it's given both the bands and fans some nice memories and maybe even help promote the artists themselves. I'll never forget getting an email from Steven Wilson after that first Porcupine Tree show (admission was free) back in 2002 after he saw my pics online and asked if he could put them on the PT website. Of course I said, yes! This is truly the spirit in which these images were captured. Viewing note: Hover your cursor over an image for a description, click on image to enlarge. Enjoy!
